Title: International Centennial Grand Basileus

- Sign all Contracts/Agreements/MOU’s and countersign all checks, authorize travel/food/lodging and miscellaneous expenses for all officers, members and staff
- Approve all applications for chapter/auxiliary charters and reinstatements
- Serve as Chair of the International Executive Committee
- Serve as ex-officio member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority’s National Educational Foundation Board of Managers.
- Ensuring the organization’s activities are compliant and in furtherance of its mission
- Leading, managing, and developing the organization’s volunteers, and organizational culture
- Assist in the developing, implementing, monitoring, and assessing sound and compliant financial management practices (including budgeting)
- Assist in the developing, implementing, monitoring, and assessing sound and compliant fundraising practices
- Assist the Chair of the Board in developing, informing, and supporting the International Executive board to carry out their governance functions
- Partnering with the Chair of the Board to help ensure the Board’s directives, policies, and resolutions are carried out
- Keeping informed and the organization’s leadership informed of significant developments and changes in the internal and external environment
- Leading the organization’s strategic planning processes
- Assist in ensuring legal compliance (including all required filings) and sound risk management practices
- Attend all regularly scheduled International Executive Board Meeting
- Review all disciplinary complaints
- Has the authority to place chapters and members on Cease and Desist
- Has the authority to suspend or expel members
- Has the authority to suspend chapters
- Be the spokesperson for the organization
Shall appoint the following: Project Managers, Resident Agents, Representatives to the affiliate International Organizations, Regional/State Directors, Program Directors, the Legal Advisory Council and an Appeal Committee - Developing, implementing, monitoring, and assessing the organization’s national programs (including their impact)
- Developing other streams of income for the Sorority i.e., grants, sponsorships and opportunities for receiving royalties
- Developing and maintaining beneficial relationships with sponsors, donors, funders, supporters, collaborators, allies, vendors, and other stakeholders
- Ensuring effective external and internal communications about the organization and its mission, priorities, importance, programs, activities and goals
- Meet monthly with all Regional Directors both collectively and individually
- Meet monthly with State Directors
- Meet monthly with all International Program Directors
- Maintaining and creating new partnerships/sponsorships that align with the mission and vision of the sorority
- Serve as a member of the Council of Presidents.
- Attend monthly Council of Presidents meetings to promote and carry out joint objectives and activities.
- Attend all Regional Leadership Conferences
- Shall appoint a Boule Planning Committee
- Plan and attend the Boule
- Attend affiliate Conferences
- Provide External PSA’s and Greetings to various organizations and affiliates upon request
- Attend various Local, State, Regional and National Programs
Deliver keynote addresses on various Local, State, Regional and National Programs upon request - Bring greetings at the Divine Nine National Conventions
- Provide a detailed report on the State of the Sorority to the sisterhood at State/Regional Conferences and the National Convention.
